Are there any other stand-alone m4a/mp4 muxers?
So far I have used MP4Box and mp4creator (with wine).
I'm not interested in something that Google throws up but would like to know about something that works for you.

It does not have all the features mp4box has. The developers seem to care mostly about spec compliance and I've had good experiences with it for years now.

If you're looking specifically to put aac in m4a there's also "cafmux" (IIRC) to be found somewhere on the qaac site.

The muxer from L-Smash works OK.
    Code:
    wine ./muxer.exe -i foo.aac -o foo.m4a

Sadly L-Smash's muxer does not support MPEG-4 ASP nor MPEG-1 and MPEG-2

Besides, MP4Box still does not support VC-1 and DTS, because the GPAC team does not care at all -_-
