I have tried multiple software to convert the aac component to ac3 while preserving the video component. Almost all failed when I chanced upon avidemux which gave the desired output as

Now that it was done, I wanted to soft-code subtitles into it. For this, according to forum posts, YAMB was an option that does it without altering video or audio components. I tried it but error comes up as

    [09:34:02] : YAMB 1.6.0 started !
    [09:34:02] : OS type detection...
    [09:34:02] : Home Edition (version 6.1, Build 7601 : Service Pack 1)
    [09:34:02] : Checking MP4Box location...MP4Box found.
    [09:34:02] : Checking MediaInfo.dll...0.7.1.2 found.
    [09:34:39] : Muxing started...
    [09:34:39] : Importing & Writing streams...
IsoMedia import - skipping track ID 2 (unknown. Please check usage-----rest of the message is not present on the interface
    [09:38:25] : Muxing failed..

    Any suggestions anyone?

  2. Your log file says 1.6.0

    [09:34:02] : YAMB 1.6.0 started !
That version (and MP4) didn't support AC3 audio in MP4 back then. 2.1.0 beta 2 does . But even that is very old (2009), it will probably work but you should think about using a more modern mp4box build

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Downloaded the latest mp4box and then My mp4box GUI and tried. Error persists as video component and srt file gets muxed while audio is missed out.
