Just out of curiosity... so, in the city you live in, there are no companies offering VDSL2 connections

A DSL provider is not going to give you more than you're paying for. Be glad you're getting 3 MB/s. DSL is generally advertized at "up to" a certain speed.
This is not entirely true either. They will give you less than what you are paying for. Like I said, I did this about 10 years ago when I was more into computers. I got cable modem service, it did not seem fast. The rep told me that was the fastest it goes, through hacks or changes in the modem (uncap what not) I was able to make a remarkable change in speed. So the reason for this post originally was to see if I could again do the same.

There might be, I am not going to move b/c it's out there. According to At&T we are getting the fastest available in our area at the "current" moment of migration.

What you are talking about (uncapping you modem) would be considered theft of service. Those kinds of discussions are against the forum rules.

That's nice. You hypocrite. You want to make accusations about "theft" on a video help forum. Let's not play with each other. The whole purpose of this forum is to help with theft. Oh sorry should we call it file sharing. Semantics. The whole computer revelation is based on theft. The whole world operates on a theft. Would it not be theft for me to pay for service, that I am not truly getting the max out of. My last job was working for professIonAl thieves. It's the law, we steal to stay ahead. If you don't like it, then didn't mommy ever teach you to ignore. Baby.
