    I was thinking about a 31" 4K monitor, at the moment my main programs I use fine at 1600p, 96dpi, 30" LCD are:

    Photoshop CS4, foobar, I'm wondering if they would run fine at such a high dpi & what I could expect? And in general I'm wondering what explorer folders will look like which use 256pixel thumbnails? My guess at the sharpest dpi they will look somewhat smaller?

    I like my current dpi & small sharpness of icons etc.

    Maybe I'm seeing it the wrong way, but I guess everything will look half the size it looks now.
