When attempting to download from NBC, I get the error:

"The xxx video can't be accessed from your IP. You need a proxy server from USA/Canada in order to access this video"

However, I am in the Eastern U.S. on Uverse!

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    CBS downloads work ok.

Switching to an IP in another city via HMA VPN does not help.

We have a beta which will fix the issue. Contact support with your order details to receive it.
    This sounds very promising.

I emailed them and they responded that the beta was available only to licensed users.

Hopefully it will be integrated in a later version.

I am looking at buying at least the add-on if there is a sale.

By the way, does anyone know if subtitles work for CBS and NBC with the add-on.

The messages imply that they would with the Add-on, but does this include NBC and CBS shows?

    Thanks.

Yes I am hopeful but if read literally it says "YouTube subtitles."

Also it says "only 1" on the free edition but I can not get even one.

So I am not sure about spending the money if the accuracy of that chart may be uncertain.

  6. Look down the page:
Download Closed Captions from FOX.com, CBS.com, NBC.com, AETV, Syfy, USANetwork
If the video doesn't have an uploaded subtitle, it won't show up

Just to update this, I went to uninstall the Free version, and right out of the Windows uninstall dialogue, it offered me a free copy of the Add-on if I took a free trial of any of a number of products. One of them was stamps.com, so I took that free trial. I

It gave me the free copy of the VideoTube Downloader.

And I have got the Subtitles working as well. It took a bit of setting up because they are in Unicode-16 LE format, but I eventually got that recognized too.

As to NBC videos, support emailed me back that the beta with the fix is only available to paying customers. I do not know if that would include me or not, but I can wait on that anyway for the next general update.
