    I started with x264 encoding. To test it, I made tests with "Terminator : Genisys"

    My settings are:

    cabac=1 / ref=8 / deblock=1:-2:-2 / analyse=0x3:0x133 / me=umh / subme=9 / psy=1 / psy_rd=0.20:0.00 / mixed_ref=1 / me_range=32 / chroma_me=1 / trellis=1 / 8x8dct=1 / cqm=0 / deadzone=21,11 / fast_pskip=0 / chroma_qp_offset=-1 / threads=12 / lookahead_threads=2 / sliced_threads=0 / nr=0 / decimate=1 / interlaced=0 / bluray_compat=0 / constrained_intra=0 / bframes=6 / b_pyramid=2 / b_adapt=2 / b_bias=0 / direct=3 / weightb=1 / open_gop=0 / weightp=2 / keyint=250 / keyint_min=25 / scenecut=42 / intra_refresh=0 / rc_lookahead=42 / rc=crf / mbtree=1 / crf=15.0 / qcomp=0.60 / qpmin=0 / qpmax=69 / qpstep=4 / ip_ratio=1.40 / aq=1:1.00

    I think this are good settings, but in my video, there are many artifacts:

    What is your source? A blu-ray ? Or a blu-ray that is already ripped and shrinked?

    You can always try even higher bitrate/constant quality. Lower the crf=15.0 value.

  4. Not sure that CRF = 13 is the good way to solve your problem...
    But trellis 2 (not 1), subme 10 , bframe 8 , no-dct-decimate , deblock 0:-1 (not -2:-2) and psy-rd 1:0 (not 0.2:0)

    Try these settings :
    --me umh --subme 10 --merange 32 --rc-lookahead 80 --partitions i8x8,p8x8,b8x8 --psy-rd 1:0 --ref 9
    --trellis 2 --b-adapt 2 --bframe 8 --deblock 0:-1 --deadzone-inter 11 --deadzone-intra 0 --qcomp 0.62
    --aq-strength 0.95 --no-dct-decimate --nr 30
