I have a mkv video and a subtitle but it doesn't show the subtitle.
    They have the same name.
    Why?

It works fine here with latest Potplayer.

Have you tried load it manually in PotPlayer? Under Subtitles->Add/Select Language and Load subtitle.

It seems to work if I do what you say (add subtitle-select).
    Subtitle is srt.
But why doesn't start with the movie?

Do you have any special characters in the file name? Like כיתוהצו'. If so try remove them in both the video and subtitle file name.
