    See the autofocus at 2 mins 19 secs when he says "no one wants to see a bumping auto focus". Can that bumping autofocus affect be removed in vegas pro 12 or other software?

    Not in the way you probably are thinking of...

    Yes, you can "remove it"... as in edit it out.

    You can't "fix" it - as in if you had it on manual in the first place, not when it's blurry to that extent as in the example video. Small adjustments can be made sometimes when it's less severe

    Other methods include creative edits (e.g. switch to another camera or b-roll footage) or replace with other frames or other sections, or attempt to interpolate over the offending frames (generate new inbetween frames using motion interpolation). There are limitations to each of those methods.

    But obviously , the "best" way is to shoot on manual mode in the first place

  4. Not natively in vegas. Vegas can only duplicate or blend frames without 3rd party plugins like twixtor . It really depends on the source footage characteristics too, on some it works decently, on others there are too many artifact to be usable. There are free motion interpolation methods available in avisynth
