This is for youtube.
Download MediaInfo, and put your MP4s in it. Should give you lots of info about it.
AVC1 is just one of the fourcc labels for H.264 I think. Don't believe it means much.

Yes, and he's using premiere. I'm just explaining the facts and why those suggestions were made earlier regarding media choices. Premiere and AE don't work like vdub or videoredo.
You're the one who brought up FFV1 and lagarith. I'm just clarifying that there are better editing choices for lossless codecs if he was going to go that route
All he wants is "snappier" editing. Memory is an issue for him and storage is an issue for him -
Can you give me this part from Mediainfo (View ---> Text)

[QUOTE=poisondeathray;2416651][QUOTE=KarMa;2416648] If we only knew how complex these projects were. I'm assuming it's less, you are assuming it's bigger. How do you feel about cattle prices?
I would suggest avisynth but that's a bit of a hurdle.
It was a big file I had to show what a fragmented 5400rpm drive could do with a 18GB file. If he is dealing with lossy x264 to begin with then drive speed is even less of a concern.
I may have missed my stop but I'm getting off this Blue's Clues train.
