Hey guys, could someone help me saying which software (pro or free) works BEST in this case?

basically i will be converting some FLV HD (720x1080) files in MP4. i got them using rtmpdumb while it was streaming online, so basically they already were in MP4 format, i just couldn't download it (not even with IDM) and now it is in FLV format.
If it has any way to change it from FLV to MP4 without converting, once the original file actually was MP4 before, please let me now too

I really don't care about speed, all i care is about having a good final video without having any losses in quality.

  2. You can use flvextract - the newer versions have the option to re-wrap into MP4 or MKV with mp4box or mkvmerge. You incur no quality loss when re-wrapping. Or another option would be ffmpeg to rewrap

  4. Start FLVExtract (ie. double click it. Make sure you have version 2 or newer). Drop & drag the FLV or folder of FLV's to the GUI . Under "remuxing" select MP4. Push start

It should look like something this

The part of FLV Extract i did... but in this link of MP4Box here in videohelp i downloaded something called GPAC. Seems like it comes with a bunch of stuff, i'm not even sure what i should open. the only software that actually opens is this Osmo4

  6. mp4box.exe comes with gpac. The new versions are dynamically linked to libraries. All you need are mp4box.exe, js.dll, libgpac.dll . You can open the gpac installer with 7zip and extract those, copy them to the flvextract directory. Or you can search for an old mp4box binary that has static libraries (built into the .exe) . You might be able to find one in mymp4boxgui or yamb beta 2

if it's too complicated, you can try something else, like avidemux (video=> copy, audio => copy, output format => mp4, ctrl+s to save, enter name with extension eg. "video.mp4"). But avidemux is a bit buggy.

Or ffmpeg, or some GUI for ffmpeg like ffqueue
    ffmpeg -i input.flv -c:v copy -c:a copy output.mp4

Could just do MKV, which would be easier. I would download MKVToolnix 8.3.0, and use the merging program.
