  1. Out of nowhere my video signal ceased and I can't play by DVDs. I reconnected all cables and nothing. I also get a buzz that's irritating when it does turn on.

    My crystal ball is in for repairs. Play DVDs with what? If you are using a DVD player or a Blu-Ray player, the make and model would be useful information.

    about all you can try is to unplug it wait a minute plug it back in and see if it works. if not toss it and buy a new one, they sell for about $40

    If the TV has more than one connection of the same type that you are using, use one of the others to connect the DVD player to the TV. If the problem persists try a different cable.

    start the dvd and on your tv remote press the video input button. video 1 or video 2
    are the most common for dvd players.
