On VLC website, there are two binary versions of x264 encoder to download:
- x264-rXXXX-YYYYYYY.exe, and
- x264-10b-rXXXX-YYYYYYY.exe
What's the difference between them? What does 10b stand for?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

If you are unsure which to use download the 8 bit one (i.e. "x264-rXXXX-YYYYYYY.exe"). 10 bit has better compression/quality but is incompatible with basically everything that isn't a PC.
