I am sending my DVD project off to a replication facility and they said they require a 'DDP with checksum'. This is the first I've heard of 'checksum' so I just have a few questions:
1) I am using DVD Architect Pro to create my DDP, how do I create the checksum file?
2) Does the checksum file check for errors, or does it just enable the replication facility to check the DDP has not become corrupted during transfer?
3) If it doesn't check for errors, is there any way of testing my DDP to ensure it is working 100% perfect? THANK YOU

What kind of checksum? MD5, SHA1, etc?
See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checksum and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Md5sum
You can make a MD5 checksum with for example http://www.winmd5.com/ -
Some mastering softwares create an MD5 checksum file automatically. Look for it in the folder where your DDP was created. If it isn't there, there are plenty of free programs that you can use.

I am not sure which kind I would need! I have only been told I need to 'provide a checksum' with my DDP.
Great I have downloaded Corz Checksum, would you happen to know if it is as simple as creating a checksum hash file from my IMAGE.DAT file? I saw something on wikipedia which was talking about VIDEO_TS folders but with DDP there is only IMAGE.DAT. -
MD5 is the standard checksum hash for disc duplication. Just create a file called CHECKSUM.MD5 in the same folder as IMAGE.DAT.
It goes without saying that the file you need to create the MD5 from is, obviously, IMAGE.DAT."The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist." -
