    Want to join 2 mp4 files. One is 640x460; the other 640x360. With 640x360 tried Video => filter => transform => add border. It shows will become 640x480. Highlighted choice; preview looks good; pressed ok; highlighted choice and pressed close. Transformation doesn't appear in 1st frame. Saved mp4 and it was still 640x360.
    Win 7; 64 bit; avidemux 2.6.10.

    solved. saving video had been configured to copy; should have been x264.

    Yep. You must reconvert when changing resolution/frame size.
