I am trying to make copies of my BD-R discs using a Samsung SE-506 external writer but I am getting an error message telling me the source BD-R is copy protected.
The source data is my own HD video originally transferred from my camcorder to a Panasonic Blu-ray Player / Recorder.
The copy protection message appears regardless of whether the disc was finalised.
The software I am using is PowerDVD
What would be causing my own BD-R discs to become copy protected?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays!

Are you doing what DB83 asked (capture during playback)? If so, take his advice that this is not a good workflow. Direct digital backup or digital clip editing is the way to go.
