  1. Are there any programs that will cut videos and subtitles at the same time?

    Like i load an mkv with .ass and cut out 5 minutes in the middle of it and the subtitles also cut out those same 5 minutes staying in sync.

  2. You could make a 2-step cut with MKVMergeGUI.

    Or perhaps AVI-MUX GUI if you're using Windows XP/Vista (never got it to work beyond that)

  4. from what i remember of using mkvmerge it's not very accurate, it doesn't cut exactly where you tell it to, usually a few seconds before\after.

    It cuts on I-frames which may be 10s apart.

    For frame accuracy maybe SolveigMM Splitter. It states now:

    Supports editing of embedded subtitles for AVI, MKV, WEBM files of formats (NEW feature):

    ASS
    SSA
    GAB2
    (it didn't support editing subtitles when I tried it)

  6. Eh it's not free, and the trial has watermarks.

    No FREE tool can cut exactly....and keep subs.

    You can try and see if MKV Cutter keeps the subs...note that it's an alpha/beta version.
