When I play aa SVD of A DVD rip the sounds kind of Tinney, or like someone is talking into a can. This usually happens when the sound goes into a higher pitch eg. more treble. Anyone else getting this prob, or anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

what type of track you rip it as? i'm referring to kbit...192 kbit audio tracks has given me "crackling" noises during high-pitched scenes on some rips (had to switch tracks)

At a rough guess I assume your talking about sound that has gone from 48khz to 44.1 in TMPGenc and creates an aliasing whistle thats audible in the higher frequencies. This is a common problem that can be easily resolved by using an external audio encoder like Toolame (just configure it to work in your enviromental options in TMPGenc). Also dont bother downsampling to 44.1 unless you or whoever your vcds are lent out to has a player that cant accept 48Khz or an older pc sound card.
