I installed (tried, anyway), Audacity, and got this error message after installation: 'audacity.exe - Entry Point Not Found',

    and this message:
'The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll'

KERNEL32.dll is located in win\system32, (actually kernel32.dll, dont know if CAPS makes a difference). Could it be corrupted?? Can I replace it from another computer? Download it??

    I tried re-booting, tried re-installing, same message.

    -c-

    (WinXP Pro)

  3. well known MS compile issue... go for older compiler or set switch to create XP compliant code.

I do have service pack 3 installed, I have 'athlon 64 AMD64 64-bit CPU' in the computer.

From link above: "Competing chip-maker AMD added support for SSE2 with the introduction of their Opteron and Athlon 64 ranges of AMD64 64-bit CPUs in 2003"
