    Container doesnt matter (avi, mp4, mkv all good)
    My TV can't play ac3 or dts audio, but it can play aac or mp3?
    What is the fastest way?

    You can try xmedia recode.

    Add all your avi files.

    Select all files in the file list (right click and choose select all)

    Under Format choose
    Profile: Custom
    Format: AVI

    Under Video choose
    Mode: Copy

    Under Audio choose
    Mode: Convert
    Codec: MP3

    Set Destination Folder ( not same folder as your avi files...)

    Click Add to queue
    Encode
