No difference between madVR & EVR custom presenter in MPC-HC

I have installed madVR & setup the settings from filters while video is playing to what some guides suggest. I select the renderer in playback-Output under Directshow Video.
And after comparing screenshots of HD video with both, they look identical, maybe minute difference. I was hoping for something significant. Does this sound about right? Maybe I haven't done something right.

That sounds about right. The benefits are often exaggerated. Especially when you are watching 1080p on a 1080p screen the differences are small. They are bigger if you need to do more scaling.
MadVR does have some other features, though, for example debanding. These can make a bigger difference than the pure scaling.
