    I used the panasonic thing to convert my avi divx's to mpg. but then when i try to burn that using vcdeasy after it scans the file..it tells me that the resolution is not fit for vcd and it does burn.

    Did you use the Standalone or Plugin ? if you used the plugin, which shell did you use ? DVDx / Flask / other ?
