I intend to convert NTSC VHS tapes to DVD or Bluray.
I have a Sony SLV-N88 VCR. I just purchased a used ADVC110.
I'm a novice on Avisynth, don't know the current status of its development on 64-bit OS. I have Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate.
Can you recommend names of filters often used for VHS captures so I can read up on them? There are just too many on this site. http://avisynth.nl/index.php/External_filters
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

A better approach is to supply a sample and ask what can be done. Or decide for yourself what needs to be done and ask what filters can do it. But...
ColorYUV()
RGBAdjust()
Crop()
AddBorders()
Blur()
Sharpen()
SeparateFields()
Weave()
TFM()
TDecimate()
QTGMC()
nnedi3_rpow2()
dehalo_alpha()
TemporalDegrain()
MCTemporalDenoise()
AAA()
Santiag()
Toon()
FastLineDarkenMod()
You should stick with 32 bit AviSynth since the 64 bit version has more bugs and fewer filters available.
