  1. Have you ever noticed this nero problem?
The size of nero (s)vcd disks is incorrect.
You can check this in windows explorer. A disk that contains 700MB+ is just ~1-2MB!
I have burned some vcds' by nero and all of them have this problem.
this just happens in nero vcds', when I burn the file by other burning softwares there is not such an issue!
The problem is the size which is written on the disk, it plays smoothly but I don't know what causes this...
Burn a vcd by nero and check it out in windows explorer. Then burn the same MPEG by another burning software like VideoPack, WinOnCD, NTI, etc and see the size that explorer shows for the disk properties, you will find out what I mean.
please let me know your idea about this.

You might find that a VCD has two "data" areas on it...one for the filesystem and one for the actual data itself ( the video ). Windows will report the size of the first data area....which is only a meg or two.

We can figure it: Most of burning softwares write video part first on the disk and then filesystem area comes, and therefore Nero should not burn filesystem area first and surely this is a bug!
If so why does windows report the actual size of original vcds and the ones burned by other burning sogtware(which is around the dat file size). Nero does lead in first and after writing the track burns lead out, but I noticed for example WinOnCD writes lead in and lead out after the track and the size of its vcds are shown correctly.
It seems that this problem is not important for anybody here. I have another post about this here

    but no response.
I need an answer to know if there is a solution to make nero burn vcds correctly.

if you want to do it so it will always be done correctly...use VCDeasy to make an image first, then mount the image with daemontools, and use Nero or whatever else to do a CD copy. works every time

  6. The VCD burning program will always burn the filesystem first as it resides on track 1. This has nothing to do with it.

I answered your question here: http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=244477#244477
