syncing sound automatically

I have recorded image on a camera, and sound on a separate recorder. How do I automatically sync them? Is that possible in premiere pro cs 5?

Not in CS5 . Auto sync wasn't introduced until later in CC . There are tutorials on Adobe and Youtube on this feature

Either consider upgrading, or alternatively you can use 3rd party plugins like red giant pluraleyes (formerly singular pluraleyes)
