First 90 secs of the video showing only black.

Hi All,

I have delivered a video file to my client as per his requirement as below :

Mpeg 2 Transport stream with :

H.264 video Main@L 3.2
Frame rate : 29.97
Resolution : Full D1 , 16:9 Anamorphic
Bitrate : CBR 1500 kbps
CABAC = Yes
Gop length = 15, B frames =2 , Closed GOP, Reference frames =2, No weight prediction, No adaptive B frames.
Buffer length = 1000 ms

aac lc Audio : Stereo, 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz.

I Used Digital Rapids Streamz for the above.

The Video and Audio streams were muxed into mpeg 2 ts using Manzanita mp2tsme muxer with overall bitrate of 1863 kbps.

The source video is 25fps ProRes 422 with a 3 seconds black at the start.

My client says the first 90 seconds of the file show only a black screen before the video plays.

I am not able to figure out what is causing the 90 seconds delay in playing the file. I didnt give any delay when muxing either.

Guys, any suggestions pls.

Was any of the video missing? Is the file the correct length? What program did he use to play back the file?
Can you post a text file from MediaInfo of the file?

Hi alfresco,

No part of the video file is missing, i played the same file using VLC, MPC, Elecard player etc. it plays just fine.

My client has his own IN-flight Hardware Solution, on which he tests the video files.
