i'm slowly capturing VHS and saving to DVD. i also want to compress the cleaned capture AVI files for storage on HD. i decided X264/H264 is the best way to do it these days.

i saw a recommendation for simple easy to use encoder (h264encoder.com) here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/video-web/5626-best-quality-h264.html

my question is: is there an advantage of using handbrake over this simple software?
