No. There is protection within the Blu Ray to prevent screen capture so most programs fail.

Another reason is that the video overlay prevents this.

The only program I have seen that can do it is vlc. But you need additional software working in the background to remove the protection. DVDFab Passkey can do it with vlc. This program is free as I write this but hurry. It will not be free for much longer.

That would only apply to playing Blu-ray discs with a licensed Blu-ray player. I don't think bsplayer is such a player.

You can usually work around this by playing another video first, then while that video is still playing, start playing the video you want to screen cap in another player or another instance of the same player. Video overlay can only be used by one program at a time. So the second player writes to the desktop, not video overlay.

  5. Or just change video render in player. Overlay is default in Windows XP, if I'm not mistaken. If it is posilble in BSPlayer, WMR9 Renderless or EVR-CP (comes with NET.Framework 3) should work just fine.

Try older version of the program. Best versions are 6,7 to 7.0 . Version 8 is a new concept, the program starts from zero, it has many bugs and can not hardly nothing. I personally abandoned this version because it captures only black screens, it not supported open gl, dx. Version 8 is politely say unprofessional...

    On which program you think?
ZD Soft Screen Recorder (I think this one) or DVDFab Passkey 8? It happens both are 8 versions.

    Dear Suad,

Some media players may use game-like technologies to render the video
content. In this case, you may try to switch to game recording mode.
There is a 'G' button on the upper-left corner of the capture frame
window. Click it to enable game recording mode and then try again.

Any further questions? Please feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Yes I think ZD Soft Screen Recorder v7.0 , Its last good version for profi work..
I dont know DVDFab Passkey, but i think the program only bypasses AACS DVD's protection.

    Just one comment.

The software you use will capture the screen. That will include EVERYTHING that you see on the screen unless you frame the capture or use the player full-screen and then capture full-screen.

My suggestion ie vlc (+ DVDFab Passkey) actually captures the video frame at the correct dimensions without any screen garbage such as the control area at the bottom. And no need to frame the capture.

Good to see your problem solved. And I see the advises in the replies to your post. I admit version 8 is not as good as previous versions. Now we are working on version 9 which will be release soon. I believe version 9 will be a brilliant version. Please stay tuned. Thanks!
