  1. Hi I have a samsung DVD player and I am currently trying to play Lord of the Rings on SVCD on it but every time I play it, every couple of seconds the video will skip is there any way to fix this?

  2. yes..its simple mate...just stick with Divx on your pc mate...svcds and vcds are nothing but problems...just think of the time your wasting trying to get one film to play on your stand alone when you could be watching and getting Divx on ur pc..hmmmm??...why do people still try and bother with this issue??...your pc is as GOOD as a dvd mate..believe me..its not worth the hassle!

  3. Some people don't have time to download movies and would rather
save them to disk and watch on tv.
    Fielddog1,check "DVD Players" for compatibilty(svcd's are'nt compatible
    with all players)

  4. hi there!
I think I know the answer to your problem if you havent found out already. I have only been doing this VCD/SVCD DVD lark for about
a week but this is what ive found.
For SVCD, If your original file is in NTSC Film format and you burn it
using a PAL template without using 3:2 pulldown it adds an extra
frame or something to compensate giving this crappy tiny stutter
    every second or so.
    In TMPGEnc, enable 3:2 pulldown.
As for VCDs , just use the NTSC File template, works fine!

  5. Hi

I thought the 3:2 pulldown is to convert PAL to NTSC? Maybe I'm mistaken?
