Help...I am looking for an hdmi dvd player with audio output jacks that I can hook up to a Yahamha amp.
We are a senior community with a "movie night" and our old one died.
I can't seem to find one...
Any suggestions as to make and model would be so appreciated...

    Thanks...

Just to make sure that we understand your request, your amp has no S/PDIF audio connections (coaxial digital audio or optical digital audio (TOSLINK)), so you want a player with RCA analog audio out that functions when using HDMI for video?

No, it's strictly RCA analog audio with HDMI for video. It's a Yamaha HTR-630.
    Thanks for replying.

I don't have the unit in front of me and there's not owner's manual, but I found one online and it looks like it has an optical jack. The dvd I just bought has one too, so I may just have to get the optical cable and be all set.
Is that right? Sorry, without all the equipment and cables here, I can't check them out.

Sorry I missed your replies yesterday. I can't find any information on the Yamaha HTR-630. If the DVD player has digital optical audio out, and the amp has digital optical audio in associated with the DVD player, then yes, all you need is an optical S/PDIF cable (aka Toslink cable) to connect the two.
