I use Flash Video Downloader to download videos from youtube & other sites. It usually gets me several choices about the downloaded file type, e.g. I can choose to download it as mp4. But for some videos (e.g. this and this) it doesn't get me the download option at all (see attachment). This happens both on Puppy Linux (Palemoon) and Lubuntu (Firefox).

you also need FFmpeg for muxing DASH video and audio.
