Hi, I am new to all this video editing stuf so please can anyone help.
I have just started taking about 100 hours of old camcorder tapes from 1996 and trying to store and edit them on my pc.
I have succesfully put my digital tapes on capturing with adobe 6 and converting with tmpgenc 100% perfect.
I have a problem when using my pinacle video capture card conected to my video.
What hapens is i get perfect video and then a little jump and then more jumps i think it has to do with the tracking signal -- the jumps are totally waising my tapes - im woried that all my video i have recorded of my children may be ruined.
when playing tapes on a diferent video or on original camcorder the results are worse rather than jumping u can lose colour and or picture..
If there is software to clean up the picture or header for the tracking please tell me
By the way for people who nee a driver for XP or 2000 for a pinacle pctv card goto
http://www.pinnaclesys.de/ussupport/drivers_results.asp?driver=yes&lang=2&product_id=6...s=16&type_id=4
just cut and paist
the pinacle card is copying video great from other video tapes so its 100% problem with my tapes - i have tried fast forwarding and rewinding tapes to slacken or tighten them it seemed to help slightly
Any sugestions please post thx in advance
