how to rip a 6.5 gig dvd into 2 dvdr s?

:x I have a 6.5 gig dvd. I have a 4.7 gig dvd. How do i make it into a 2 dvdrs? I dont want anything fancy like menus, extras, subtitles, languages. I just want the movie to be put onto 2 dvdrs with chapter markers in them. What programs do i need?

best thing you can do hear is follow one of the guides on how to make svcd using tmpeg.. but make dvd instead.. this will compress your mpeg2 file to the size of you dvd-r media..

once you have your 4.5 gb mpeg2 file use something like spruce up to create the vobs and set up the movie ready to burn to dvdr

the quality will still be very high and you can make menus ect very easily with spruce up..

this way will save you alot of money in dvdr and you will make almost perfect one disk dvd's
