I have some WD HDD's & It seems simply enough, boot off disc drive with iso wdidle on disc etc.
Just wondering if altering the time to say 300seconds or even disabling it would effect or change the HDD's format type whether MBR or GPT or even the data on the drive? Or cause troubles accessing the drive on a USB enclosure amoung different PC's?
Thanks

It has no effect on the drive format. That is the timer used to park the heads to save power.
