MakeMKV Blue Ray no Audio

Hello, i am a Newbie, i am sorry ...

a few weeks ago i found a good solution here in this forum how to make a copy of all my DVD Movie to have them on my harddisk and do not need to take them with me. For this i used MakeMKV, working very good.
Now i copied a few Blue Ray disk's with MakeMKV but there is the movie without audio ..... what went wrong?
Can anybody help?

Be sure to check the audio stream you want. You can check with MediaInfo if the produced file contains the selected stream.
The player must support the codec of the audio-stream.
I recommend MPC-HC. It has built-in LAV filters which supports almost every codec.

Sry for my late answer
with the tool Mediainfo - recommed by you - i see now, that the Mainfilm MKV-file has no Audiostream. But smaler addon films on the same Blueray do have audiostreams. please see attachment
what went wrong? or what did i make wrong?
just as a reminder i was using MakeMKV, did nothing change, only pushing the 2 typical buttons, and it took up to 2h for ripping.

Hi,
you have to select the audiostream(s) which should be muxed to the file in MakeMKV -> checkboxes on the left in GUI of MakeMKV.
My tip:
to use a clearer interface in MediaInfo, use text or my personal favourite is HTML.

To be honest, I tried every video-player I found in the past years to find THE ONE.
I never liked VLC so much. I tried Potplayer, KMPlayer when it was good, SMPlayer, SPlayer, .............
I recommend MPC-HC but it's possible that you have to adjust some settings to get it fully working, it's not hard, but it takes some time.

I want to play my videofiles with the matching refresh rate. Not so easy to do that.
MPC-HC can do that, but you need a monitor / TV which does support that. I recommend HDMI-Connection, with DVI (same signals, but without audio and no HDCP) I had already trouble on some graka - monitor combinations only allowing 60.000 Hz for some strange reason.
AND turn off all Motion-Crap in the TV / monitor to get true 24p, but keep in mind that there are two 24p, one with 23.976 fps and one with 24.000 fps, Drivers calls them 23 Hz and 24 Hz, but all Monitors will tell you only 24 Hz on both.

I can watch my movie in this time only on a Toshiba NB, has a good screen. but nothing to compare ....
only thing i am missing on VLC is a free scale zooming of movies to the fulll screen.

Some titles on Blu Rays quite literally have NO audio streams in them and exist for purposes other than normal playback.

Other than that, MakeMKV only selects lossy tracks of the preferred language by default. If you need anything else you need to modify the default selection rule and preferred language settings in preferences.

I personally use AnyDVD HD for ripping Blu-rays to my HDD.

meanwhile i bought a full version of MakeMKV and it worked quite good on 2 Bluerays, but on a third it did not rip the main film. I tryed the AnyDVD trialversion, but i did not find menu or a button to rip the Blueray. Any help to solve the problem?

Leider gibt das Kontext Menu in der Taskleiste das nicht her (AnyDVD Application | Dieses Programm an die Taskleite anheften | Fenster schließen)
leider kann ich nicht alle Kontextmenus fotografieren. Ich hab verschiedene Einstellungen probiert, wenn ich am Ende OK sage dann heißt es die DVD steht in kürze zur Verfügung und dann passiert nichts mehr. Ich würde auch die Software noch kaufen, aber dazu muss funktionieren.
ich vermute ich hab eine andere Version
siehe Anhang! ich hab ein paar Screenshots angehängt.

Zuerst die Blu-ray auf die HDD rippen, dann erst mit MakeMKV die MKV erstellen.

Leider nein, weil ich AnyDVD nicht zu rippen bringe. Der Rechtsklick in der Taskleiste läßt nur das zu, was ich oben geschrieben habe, aber leider nicht das was Du mir empfiehlst. Passt denn meine AnyDVD Version?

7.6.6.0 ist nicht ganz aktuell, aber die Funktion gibt's ja schon seit vielen Jahren. AnyDVD arbeitet On-The-Fly, also einfach den gesamten Inhalt mit copy and paste auf die HDD ziehen, sollte auch so funktionieren.

D.h. es gibt keinen expliziten Schalter mit dem ich in Anydvd sage: kopiere oder rippe mir diese bluray ?
ok, ich probiers, hoffentlich klappts. Die Testtage gehen zu ende, ich würde es ja kaufen, aber solange ich nicht sicher weiß, dass es geht, gebe ich das Geld nicht aus.

Nochmal: Um eine Blu-ray zu rippen:
1.) Rechtsklick auf den roten Fuchs in der Taskleiste unten rechts
2.) in dem erscheindenden Menü auf einen der beiden von mir markierten Einträge klicken
3.) Zielverzeichnis im erscheinenden Fenster eingeben und bestätigen zu rippen
4.) Blu-ray wird in das Zielverzeichnis entweder als Image File oder als Filerip gespeichert, je nach Auswahl im Bild

Da aber AnyDVD On-The-Fly arbeitet, kann man auch den gesamten Inhalt mit copy and paste auf die HDD ziehen. Da es aber eine extra Funktion gibt, verwende ich diese.

Danke für die genaue Beschreibung. Leider hat mein Kontextmenu nur die 3 Einträge ich schon geschrieben habe, ich weiß leider nicht wie man ein Kontextmenu fotografiert, mein Snipping Tool kann das nicht, das Menu klappt immer zu.
Ich probiers mal mit copy and paste. Ich befürchte nur, dass meine Version von anydvd falsch ausgeführt wird.

Es kann sein, dass die unregistrierte Version diese Features nicht bietet. Probier mal den Inhalt der Blu-ray mit aktiviertem AnyDVD mit copy und paste auf die HDD zu kopieren und gib Bescheid, ob es funktioniert hat. Dauer um die 30 min bis 50 min sind normal, je nach Größe der Dateien auf der Disc und Geschwindigkeit des optischen Laufwerks. HDDs sind sehr viel schneller.
