subtitles for Sony bluray

i rented disc (Showtime) from Netflix but to activate subtitles the disc says i have to go to the player.

i have pushed all buttons on remote but no success.

any suggestions?

The subtitle button on the sony control is right above the red button,display button is right beside it,if that still doesn't work then there's either no subs or your remote doesn't work properly,do you get subs on other movies?
