    Hello!

    I've bought a new laptop.

    Laptop specifications

Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition (VN7-591G, GTX 960M)

    CPU Intel Core i7-4710HQ (2.5 GHz ~ 3.5 GHz, 6 MB) 4 Core

    Memory: 16GB DDR3

GPU: NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ GTX 960M 2GB

    OP system: Win7 64bit Ultimate

GeForce Game Ready Driver - WHQL

    Version: 353.62 - Release Date: 29 July 2015

At first I've installed the the driver of the offical Acer DVD...

Than, I've installed the latest driver from the NVIDIA's homepage

    However the problem has remained.

The Nvida GPU control panel shows only the 3D settings

    What caused this problem?

    For a comparison:

Here is the Nvidia control Panel of my Desktop:

  2. Hi!

If your laptop is the same/similar to this one http://www.notebookcheck.net/Acer-Aspire-V17-Nitro-VN7-791G-759Q-Notebook-Review.126701.0.html
it means it has two graphic cards on board working in NVidia Optimus technology (http://www.howtogeek.com/136123/htg-explains-what-you-need-to-know-about-nvidia-optimus/) . Integrated with Intel processor HD graphic card (here Intel HD Graphics 4600) is used for light load work to save energy (browsing internet, watching SD movies, etc). NVidia card can be used for heavy load (gaming, photo and video processing). Intel HD graphic card is the main one - all the signal must go through it, you can't switch it off. So most of the setting you are looking for are in Intel panel.
When you install drivers the standard procedure in this case is: first chipset driver, restart, Intel graphics driver, restart, NVidia graphics driver and restart.

But, is it possible the nvidia based AVC and HEVC playback acceleration, and hardware HEVC compression with the intel/nvidia combo GTX 960M videocard?

Only AVC, MPEG2. No HEVC support

The 960M , "M" for mobile, has VP6 (purevideo 6) which isn't the same thing as the desktop 960 which has VP7 (purevideo 7)

See the chart on this page

No, the main VGA is intel, the GTX 960M NVIDIA card is only a 3D accelerator card.
