Hi,
We've created a process that transforms video into various artistic forms such as "Comic Book" and "Watercolour".
We're trying to gauge consumer reaction to this product so if you have a moment, could you check out http://igniartfx.com
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Take On Me...
__
P.S.: Which exceptional browser is able to play such videos?
Opera 12 (Presto): locks up the plugin protection
Vivaldi (Chrome): "no playable source"
Pale Moon 25.6 (Mozilla): "Error loading media: File could not be played"
Firefox 39.0: oooh, it does something... mostly waiting.Last edited by LigH.de; 7th Aug 2015 at 09:27.

My current opinion:
If it was the desired style from the beginning (like the first "Lord of the Rings" movie: half cartoon, half real silhouette), I would accept it. But altering existing movies in such a way ... I doubt I would enjoy that. -
There's nothing new here. There are filters available for most video editors that do the same thing. See MSU Cartoonizer, for example.
http://compression.ru/video/cartoonizer/index_en.html
Effects like this may be useful as occasional special effects but nobody in their right mind would want to watch an entire movie with it. -
I've personally tried the existing processes, including MSU, I find them, to me, jarring and sometimes incomplete or inconsistent.
How do you feel we compare? -
I agree with jagabo. Most editors have filters for these type of things. This is OK for a special effect, but I wouldn't use this. Here is an example of a neon effect.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -
That's great feedback thank you. If you have the time do add that information to the survey.
-
I fear that such effects will probably hurt the compressibility...

It can go slightly higher if you're using a quality scale but for a fixed bitrate it turns out okay.
