  1. I'm trying to capture VHS tapes to my computer using ulead videostudio 8. I've been playing around with the settings, but I can't get it to record the audio. It's only recording the audio from my computer mic. The only options for the audio device is microphone array, microphone / line in, and rec. playback. The only option for input source is master volume. Any suggestions?

  3. I'm not sure exactly. It looks like this except it has USB DVR on it.

Many of the el-cheapo-deluxe devices SAY they capture audio via their device but many just give up and run a line-in.

He's saying you may have to plug the audio into your sound card using an adapter, instead.

Try VirtualDub instead of the Ulead software and ensure that the capture device is selected as the audio source rather than your sound card.
