  1. please can someone help Me,
I see in the help files that using toolame for the sound encoding does a better job then TMPEnc itself, so no problems. I have downloaded a gui, only to find out that I have to get toolame.exe on My system before it will work.

No problems , however, all I get is a compressed file with a whole bunch of c code and I cant seem to find the actual program itself

can someone please help Me, the link given in the software section here is broken for toolame, and the http://www.flexion.org/audio/toolame/ doesnt work either

anyone know where I can get it, or am I looking for the wrong thing? lol
    catch ya round and thanks

TMPG's weak point is actually the downsampling routine. Get an external Sampling frequency converter too.

    There isn't an .exe file?

First off there are ( at least) 3 ways to use toolame and ssrc these days.
Basicly toolame and ssrc are command line based tools.
Open the commandline console, change to the toolame dir and type "toolame --help" to see all options.
Also you can use both tools with TMPG as external tools.

3rd way is to use BeSweet (commandline based, GUI available), At the toolame tab resp. ssrc tab of the besweet GUI you can work with toolame.exe resp. ssrc.exe.
If you use besweet.exe itself you will work with mp2enc.dll (toolame) and ssrc.dll.
    Totally confused?

I think video arrange method "No margin [keep aspect ratio]" is what you are looking for. TMPG > setting > advanced. Hell, you will lose a lot if you convert a widescreen to 4:3 without borders.

  7. after a short test i see what you are talking about, when you say i will lose a lot in conversion lol

ok next question, how do i take a widescreen divX movie and manage to make it a fullscreen with no borders and no loss in VCD format?

is it possible? or even practicle ?

    thanks for your help
