which server config is best for ffmpeg video conversation

hello,
i am currently using Intel Quad-Core Xeon E3-1230 [ 4 Core(s) ] server with 16gb ram
i am converting videos though ffmepg on my server. i need to convert lot of videos a day.
720p video will be converted into (MP4 720 with watermark,480x320,640x480,320x240 and 3gp,mp3)
so to convert around 3-5min, 100 videos into these 6formats . its taking me around 6-8hours.
my conversation script works on one instance bye one instance. please suggest me good config server. which we can speed up the process. please suggest me how i can speed my conversation speed
