External mic ???

Hi,

what kind of good (but not too expensive) external mic would be good to shoot light events (video mapping,...) like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rctzYgj4u24

The camcorder is a Sony PJ 620 with external mic input.

The best thing to do would be to tap directly into the sound system.

Rode makes very good inexpensive camera mounted mics -- but realistically there's no single good answer. Presumably every event will be different, every location will have a different acoustic profile, the camera will have a different relationship to the source of the sound every time.
