width and height are different between videos

Error message: width and height are different between first and this video stream. Both were downloaded from the web and separately with avidemux . When I tried to put the clips together the error shows. Next they were run through a converter to become 480 x 320 mp4 files. This did not help.

It will take a while to guess what your originals look like. It'll also take a while to guess what you mean by "converter". Maybe you need to give a little more info.

What converter?
Use the free MediaInfoXp to post data bout the two file types you're trying to work with. mp4 is a container, not a format. All kinds of different videos can fit inside it. Frame size isn't the only factor.

Sorry, many of us can't use "xlsx" documents, and not many are willing to install software for it. If you will notice, MediaInfoXP has a "Text View" panel. You can select and copy the text directly from that panel to your clipboard and post it in the forum as like any other text. Or you can also export the info as a .txt file and post here.

Both the audio and video for one of them have to be reencoded to match the other. I just happened to be on my wife's computer which has Excel. Otherwise I, too, wouldn't have been able to read it.

Thanks for the text. I have Excel too, but 2008 edition or later is needed to read xlsx format, which is incompatible with all previous versions of Microsoft Excel...another reason why later editions of Office have to be given away, everyone hates the newer versions. Amazing how MS managed to dumb it down and make it inscrutably complicated at the same time. Pure genius.

Good luck to the O.P. at resizing 480x300 to 1080p or vice versa. As is, the frame rates and progressive video are invalid for standard BluRay/AVCHD and are different frame rates to begin with. The audio won't match either, unless converted.

Anybody up for a PAL/NTSC mismatch?
