    Hi there.

I hope someone can help me do this. I have purchased some series from someone. The thing is, he uploaded them on google drive, and the subtitles are softsubs, meaning that when I download the (save as) video to be saved into my external drive, the subs won't be downloaded, just the video.
Now this is a big problem for me because I don't want to watch it by streaming it. I want to watch it even without internet, so I need to rip the subtitles in order to watch the video with the subtitles, on my own media player.

Is there any way? I tried using the online ripper called Keepsubs but that only works for youtube links.

Anyway, here's a clearer picture of my problem. This is the screenshot.

  2. When you watch a video as the picture of your screenshot, you can find a down arrow. If you click it, you can get a link as "https://......&export=download". Then, you must replace "&export=download" with "&export=timedtext&ttlang=en". "en" means "English" There are all languages(ttlang=?) below. The subtitle of google drive or youtube is "*.sbv". You can convert it into "*.srt" by

Can you help me decode this xml format into srt?
When I extracted the subtitle file, it's in xml format. So I decoded into utf-8 format.
But even so, I can't open the subs in subrip. I tried top open in aegisub but the format is not correct! The subtitles timing are all 00000.

This is the video I am trying to work on. This one is on youtube:

Hi again! I have something to ask you. Can you rip the subtitles on this website? I am not sure if the subs are hardsubbed or softsubs but I think they are softsubs but I do not know how to rip them. I tried Google2srt but could not get them to work.
I tried to look for the subtitle file in inspect element but I could not find any, but maybe it's because I overlooked it or something.
    Can you help?

Hi. I downloaded the English file as you suggested. I got a file that ends with .sbv.txt. I went to the website you noted above but it says file format not supported or something. I tried to change the ending to just .txt and also .sbv and neither worked. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.

  16. I tried this and it worked :
    Code:
    youtube-dl https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxqf-PGnadp7MUhSbEJGR1J2NEU --skip-download --all-subs
Downloads all subtitles available in VTT format. The --sub-lang option allows to select a specific language. Remove --skip-download to also download the video. Use -o and a template to customize the name of the output files or record to a specific directory (other than the one currently opened in the command prompt).

Yes, I'm aware that this thread is 1828 days old but I still want to reply. The person above apparently wasn't.
