I have just converted a divx video from NTSC 23.976fps to PAL 25fps using TMPEG. I have now extracted the audio from the original source and need to stretch it to fit the video without making it sound silly.
1 thing that is confusing me, is that I chose 'Do not frame frame rate conversion' from TMPEG, this I believe keeps the exact number of frames but either strecthes or shrinks the films to suit the new frame rate.
If converting from 24fps to 25fps, shouldn't the film be shorter than the original?
My original film was 1:56:33 at 23.976fps and my result was 2:19:52 at 25fps.
Is this right?
Now, I just need to know how to stretch my audio using CoolEdit.
Will it sound stupid being stretched by 24minutes?
cheers

Firtsly, please allow much more than 2 hours before expecting an answer to your questions. Many board users do have lives outside of VCD help you know.
Secondly, to find out how to convert audio/video from NTSC to PAL try reading:

BTW, your new video length of 2:19:52 looks far too long, I reckon it should shrink if you increase the frame rate, as you suggest!
