    I have a dvd 710 and it wont play svcds at all, after insertion it spews disk back out. it is region 2 at present, need help on how to beat this problem please??????

    Plays vcd fine but not svcd, I have no idea how to find out what version or P that it is playing.

    Please help this newbie!

  4. Hey there MCOPTOM,

    I have the 710 myself. The good news is, it CAN play SVCD. Actually it plays SVCD by default when the player is set to region1. The trick I used is to make the player region1 first and then make it regionfree so you will be able to play your R2 discs. I have done this about a year and a half ago and I never had any problems. To change regions you will need to enter a code with your remote control, to make it regionfree you will need another code. Because it is NOT without danger of damaging your player or getting it stuck in a region I will not explain or give you the codes here. I suggest you have a look here:
