When I got the VC500 it came with Ezgrabber and Showbiz movie editing software, I noticed Showbiz also has a capture feature. Is there any advantages to using one over the other?
Thanks!

I never tried Ezgrabber. I did try a customized version of Showbiz that came with a high-definition capture device I bought. Showbiz was fine, but the device had its own onboard encoder and all Showbiz had to do was write its output to my hard drive. I have no idea how well Showbiz performs with devices that use Showbiz for encoding.
You will have to try them both to see which you like best. -
Thanks usually_quiet, I forgot to mention I also have Corel Videostudio X7 which also has a capture feature. I better get hands on busy. I'm sure I'll be back with more questions.
Thanks. -
Does virtualdub work with this device. Some of these type of dongle things work in virtualdub and you can change the encoder to huffyuv to capture lossless. I had an easycap one that did that
