how to edit,join and encode movies???

Hi guys...i am having 13 parts of a film....i want to cut 1st 5 seconds of all video and join them and encode..???
i have tried various programs to Cut and join videos but the man problem of that videos is that single video is having audio problem....i mean audio is faster than movie......how can i cut and join files without audio synch problem????help me to find a software in windows 32 bit computer....

What format are the movies in now? Which video and audio codecs are used?

Examine the video with MediaInfo using either the Text or Tree view within MediaInfo. Post the results here in your thread. You'll get better answers when you provide this type of information.
