Now Subtitles Workshop shows the mkv file, but I get a message saying "Some of the streams of the movie could not be renderd correctly. Probably the audio or video codec is missing".
At first it works alright, and then the audio, the video and the subtitles suddenly are all completely out of sync. Sometimes exiting and reopening fixes it, and sometimes it doesn't. Also despite saving both the original and the translation files, when I reopen them suddenly they don't match, which never happened to me with .avi files.
Please help me!

Have you tried Subtitle Workshop 6.0? Or maybe Subtitle Edit.
Or do you just want to use 2.51?
