How long would it take to burn a 2 hour DVD. I'm not looking for a real exact answer. But just an estimate.
Thanks

Hi
Depending on the type of media and the write speed, (most media / drive combinations are 1x speed only), a two hour DVD R will take around an hour. If the drive and DVD R can handle 2X speed then this may come down to 35 minutes but it depends on the file size. E.g full D1 PAL 720x576 will take longer to burn than half D1 352x576 for the same length at the same bitrate.
Sorry if that's a little vague. Please let me know your movie size, (in MB/GB) and I'll let you know an approximate burning time at 1X
Hope that helped

Use this formula to calculate your time:
Time (mins) = 4,700,000,000 Bytes / (1.380 MBytes/sec x DVD_WRITE_SPEED / 60 secs_per_min)
For a 2X drive, this works out to:
4.7GB / (1.38 MB X 2 / 60) = 28 mins
Replace the 4.7 G with the true size of your file to find your EXACT time.
