VSDC Video Editor Not playing videos?

I'm using vsdc free video editor, and my video won't play past a certain point. I put a screenshot, and it won't play any of the videos past my cursor. help ?

This is why it's free. It's crap.

But can you render/output the video?

A suggestion.

Re-arrange the bottom two clips so that all ascend (like a staircase). At present, the 'staircase' goes down and there is no where to go.

Of course this flies against the principles of most NLE's which would play/encode all video etc. present on a timeline.

Never used the program so can only assume that they have not implemented this correctly (Baldrick's comment). I see some comment about 'layers' and possibly those can also be edited for the same result.

Glad to read tho that even a 'mad' suggestion sometimes works.
